Josh Turknett, MD

Neurologist- Atlanta, Georgia

Like most physicians, I’ve jumped through the requisite academic hoops and trials by fire to get to this point. I graduated from Wesleyan University in 1997 with a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 2001, I received my M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine, completed a residency in neurology at the University of Florida in 2005, and in 2006 became a fully fledged, Board Certified, grade A neurologist. I’ve conducted clinical research in areas including migraine, acute stroke, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, peripheral neuropathy, and epilepsy. I currently serve as a medical editor for the Journal of Evolution and Health.

I am a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Headache Society, the National Headache Foundation, the Ancestral Health Society, and Physicians for Ancestral Health.
